Imran is a Partner at Forward, a member of the founding team, and a member of the Investment Committee.

Imran brings a broad range of experience across private equity, management consulting, and general management. Prior to Forward, Imran was at McKinsey & Company for over eight years, where he was a Leader in the Global Consumer and Private Equity practices. Over his time at the firm, Imran supported investors and operators to shape their strategy and achieve their growth aspirations. Imran has counseled clients across multiple consumer sectors, spanning North America, Latin America, and Europe.

His private equity experience spans the full investment lifecycle including thesis development, diligence, portfolio value creation, and exit readiness. Imran brings together his advisory and practitioner experience from prior management roles at leading consumer brands, including Levi Strauss & Co. and Sid Mashburn.

Imran graduated with highest distinction from Emory University and holds an M.B.A from Harvard Business School.

Beyond Forward, Imran’s interests include scuba diving, coffee, billiards, tennis, and spending time with his family.

Imran is a son of two entrepreneurs in the consumer and retail arena - he very happily grew up on a shop floor.
